Founder

Robinah Lubwama

Mummy Robinah as we all refer to her, has a big heart for children. Her desire from time ago has been to help the most vulnerable, under-privileged children and give them hope. She joined efforts with Uncle Paul and Auntie Christine together with other colleagues to start this organization in 1985. Mummy Robinah loves to give, she normally says, “if you are not giving, you are not living. This organization has given me the opportunity to share my heart with many people and children out there.” Mummy Robinah just like Auntie Christine and Uncle Paul has witnessed some of the children who were in atrocious situations beat all odds to be the best today. She yearns to see Ambassadors of Hope continue with this work and do even greater things, this means going more to rural areas and sharing love and giving them hope. Her desire is also to see the young people who have been groomed carrying on with the work being done and even doing more.

Director

Paul Matembe

Uncle Paul as all the children call him, joined Mummy Robinah as she began this ministry/organization. He actively took part in the birth of the organization. Reminiscing on events 30 years ago, he mentions that he joined as a volunteer, a young man hungry to serve God through helping under privileged vulnerable children. He states that the situation was not good, the country was infected by the outbreak of HIV/AIDS and there seemed like no hope but they trusted God to carry on with the ministry. Uncle Paul says, “I have seen thousands of children who didn’t have hope, I’ve seen them grow into strongly zealous young people and some of them are now holding positions of influence and they are influencing change. I can’t tell exactly how many children have gone through this organization but we want to do more, we want to go further out there and take hope to those others. We shall do it.” Uncle Paul boasts of over 30 years’ experience of working with Ambassadors of Hope. His desire is to do a lot more than supporting children through school, helping with community health initiatives, equipping people with skill and more.

Senior Administrator

Christine Bukenya

“Things start to fall apart when you start to drift away from God”, she pointed out. Auntie Christine as all the children call her, has been there from the beginning. She boasts of an experience of over 30 years of working with Ambassadors of Hope. She has been very instrumental in running the organization. She has been a witness of many children from poor backgrounds literally achieve their dreams. “Through the years, children we enrolled from villages affected by the war in 1980s had no hope, some came in as orphaned children but today they are doctors, bankers and engineers to mention but a few”, she testifies. So many children have been helped and assisted, many families completely transformed. Auntie Christine loves and enjoys her job. She believes every child should get an education and her joy is to help children who had no hope utilize this opportunity, graduate through the various levels of education, get good jobs and become agents of change in the world today.
