Family Empowerment

Ambassadors of Hope empowers families create a supportive home environment for children and youth through socio-economic initiatives. Ambassadors of Hope works with caregivers, supporting them the knowledge, skills and resources to set up income generating activities so that they can meet their family needs.Through parenting initiatives, the program empowers caregivers to build healthy and trusting relationships with their children, learn effective ways to connect and empower their children as well as develop strategies for addressing challenging behaviorsAnother aspect of this program is male engagement. Males including spouses, parents, kins and local leaders are as key champions and allies for family support, empowering the boy child and providing safety. Involving fathers and male guardians improves the well-being of children, reduces prevalence of domestic violence while building a culture of shared responsibility, cohesion and development.
